We got set up! Little did we know that our friends Reice and Kayla were going to set us up as they had disguised it as a night to just hang out and play some games. As the night progressed we started to get to know each other and it was clear that we both liked each other. Over the rest of spring break we spent more time together hiking through the woods or watching movies, and at the end Sam asked Madeline to go on a date down in the cities the next week. He hit it out of the park with a trip to the zoo, a fabulous and fancy Applebee's dinner and then capped off the night with a movie. It was a few nights later (on her birthday!) that Sam asked Madeline to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history!

We were getting together with our friends for Labor day weekend at Madeline's grandparents cabin. A weekend enjoying the outdoors with some of our closest friends is one of Madeline's favorite things to do. On Saturday night we went on a sunset cruise where Sam drove the boat to the middle of the lake and proceeded to make a toast. After a few moments Madeline quickly realized that it wasn't just any toast, but Sam asking her to marry him. After several tears and shaky hands she quickly said yes to a life of continuous adventures with Sam by her side.
