Our Story

Madeline and Parker were both raised in Granville, Ohio, a small college town outside of Columbus. Growing up at the same time in the small community, they were familiar with each other, but only spoke on a few separate occasions. Parker remembers these occasions much more clearly than Madeline does. After they graduated, Madeline went on to college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, while Parker went to Ohio State. After graduation, Madeline spent the start of her professional career in Columbus, later moving to Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, Parker ended up in Louisville, Kentucky. Parker was planning to visit a friend in Boston around Christmas of 2021. He threw the hail mary Instagram DM to Madeline and asked to get dinner together in Boston. At this point in time, she was living back in Columbus as she had left Boston and was deciding where to move to next. Instead of Boston, they were able to meet over dinner together back in their hometown of Granville. Day Y Noche followed by Taco Dans helped spark the rest. Madeline moved to Denver, Colorado and Parker went back to Louisville. Throughout this time, they stayed in touch through visits when possible and unexpected phone calls that would last hours. It was September of 2022 when Madeline was visiting Louisville (for a Kings of Leon concert… and maybe a little bit because Parker lived there) that they decided to make it official. Three months later, Parker moved to Denver, and their relationship continued to grow. Their love for skiing, music, friends, and family intertwined perfectly, and they adopted a puppy in March of 2024 named Dani (named after the location of their first date – Taco Dans). On May 18th, 2024, Madeline and Parker went on a hike with Dani at the base of the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado. It was planned to be a shorter hike as Madeline had the Denver half-marathon the following day. Approximately fifty feet into the hike, Parker proposed to Madeline. They were able to celebrate back at home with many close friends and family. Madeline did not run a half-marathon that Sunday. Madeline and Parker couldn’t be happier to welcome you all to Denver to celebrate their next step in life together. You are all incredibly important to them and their story.
