How We Met
In 2014, I was at my locker at Villa Park High when Andy walked by with Maddie. I was weird, so I just smiled and said “hi.” It was a small moment but later I found out she told Andy we would get married someday.
By the summer of 2017, I was spending more time at Andy’s house, and Maddie would tag along. From Target runs to boba at Seaside, we became friends. She would greet me with “Hey boyfriend!” and I would shyly say “hi,” thinking she was teasing.
On New Year’s Eve, between eating In-n-Out, board games, and laughs, we shared our first kiss. Soon after, we became school buddies at Cal State Fullerton, arriving a minimum of two hours earlier than our first class, but this time allowed us to really get to know each other.
On February 9th, 2018 Andy signed us into Disneyland. Somewhere between the rides, the laughter, and our hands finding each other, everything shifted. It no longer felt like just friendship, but the start of something real.
It turns out Maddie knew all along.
