Carson: so, I'm in Starbucks, right? all of a sudden I hear a LOUD yell from across the room. It was only me, two baristas, and a random girl. "ARE YOU AMANDA'S BROTHER??". At the time I genuinely had zero idea how out of character this moment truly was for the girl yelling. Madeline: Its the morning before kids summer camp and I'm sitting in Starbucks reading my Bible, planning a devotion for my girls, when a boy walks into the coffee shop. He's waiting in line to order and I'm thinking, "honestly, he's pretty cute." The barista calls him for his drink, and when she says his name it clicks that I know his sister! We talked for a minute and I recognized his kind heart, but I was just thankful to now have a friend while I worked camp the following weeks. Carson: So, I'm headed to kid's camp after and I immediately call my sister: "I just met your friend". I basically tell Amanda that I'm in love with her and she begins to laugh "who isn't in love with Madeline Quinn?" then proceeds to tell me stories upon stories of rejections, (albeit funny ones) at the hands of this girl. But, I was not dismayed; I was ready for love. Madeline: Our kids came later that day and I was entirely focused on being present with my girls, leading and guiding them in love, I did not think I was ready for a relationship. But Carson continuously showed up, day after day, to support me and my girls (who adored him!) Soon, my 4th and 5th grade girls were running around camp screaming "we ship Cadeline! we ship Marson!" I couldn't help but begin to love him as he generously and intentionally served me each day, despite the exhaustion and distraction of camp. The first week together was a sweet beginning to an even sweeter friendship! Carson: anyways.... this website has a 2,000 word cap so..... we are in LOVE. I asked her on a date, the rest is history!!!!! If you want to hear the whole story, give me a call, I'll be glad to sing of the faithfulness of the Lord. 678-446-8660.
