Patrick and Madeleine’s love story began on a dating app where they matched over a mutual, deeply specific, very valid fear: the ocean. Patrick set up a date with Maddie while he still lived in his parent’s basement a month out; Maddie was impressed by Patrick’s tactical planning.
Maddie was 30 minutes late to their first date, but Patrick had already ordered chips and two frozen margaritas that were on the rocks by the time she arrived. Obviously, Patrick stuck around and the wait staff sighed with relief. That timely meeting turned out to be the start of something beautiful, and three years later, Patrick got down on one knee on February 4th, 2024.
When they’re not debating who the funnier one is, you’ll find them at a concert, wandering through nature, tending to their plants, or curled up with a good book — cats firmly in lap. They share a love of great food, sports, animals, Lord of the Rings, and, above all, time with the people they love most.
