The story starts up in Fort Collins, Halloween weekend. Madeleine was dressed as an alien with a bright neon shirt and glitter. Madison was a sailor with the hat, corncob pipe and all. Not a story typical pair, but that night ignited something truly special. You could not separate these two that night. Even when it came time for each to part, Madison came chasing for Madeleine begging for her number. She reluctantly said yes and the week after they went on their first date. Week after week, the two were inseparable and both would make the drive to Fort Collins and Denver to see each other. That fall will forever be where Madeleine and Madison fell in love.
After the fall and leading up to the new year, Madeleine would board a one-way flight to New York City to chase a dream. Distance was inevitable, but even with distance their romance grew. Hours spent on the phone and the occasional trips to see each other, the two made every moment count. They were determined to be with each other and after 8 months the patience paid off. Madison too booked his one-way ticket to New York City. Fall again, Madeleine and Madison together sharing new dreams in the big city.
Madison had two ideas that he wanted to incorporate for the proposal. Family has been and always been the most important value for the two. Also proposing in Fort Collins back where they first met was important to him too. So on December 23rd Madeleine, Madison, and their brothers drove up to Fort Collins for the day. One favorite tradition they shared was drinking prosecco up near Horsetooth. Horsetooth is where the two first kissed and was one of their favorite places. So with prosecco, cameras and a little black box they all walked to a beautiful overlook. Madison found the spot and held Madeleine's hand. He got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to marry him.
