North Park Avenue - Downtown Winter Park
"Park Ave" is located about a mile from the hotel. There are lots of restaurants, shopping, bars, and a museum here. Grab an uber and head there for breakfast, lunch, dinner or coffee. Our favorite restaurants include: Prato, Briarpatch, Cocina 214, The Wine Room, Bosphorous There are several coffee shops, including Starbucks. Also Burger Fi and Panera.
Winter Park Village
Less than a mile from the hotel, Winter Park Village has lots of shopping and dining options for you. There's even a movie theater and Publix grocery store. Some of the restaurants include: Another Broken Egg, Starbucks, Cheesecake Factory, Bar Louie, Crisp and Green, PF Chang, Bar Italia, Ruth's Chris, Sushi Saki, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, Jenni's Ice Cream
Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour
A Winter Park tradition since 1938, the boat tours leave every day, every hour on the hour - 10am to 4pm. It's a great way to cruise the lakes and canals of historic Winter Park which includes Rollins College, Kraft Azalea Gardens, Isle of Sicily, magnificent mansions, and wildlife! It would be a great way to spend an hour Friday or Saturday before the wedding! We have enjoyed doing this and you will too! It's an easy 1 mile uber ride from the hotel.
The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art
This museum is right on Park Ave a quick uber ride from the hotel. Noted for its Art Nouveau collection, houses the most comprehensive collection of the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany found anywhere, a major collection of American art pottery, and fine collections of late-19th- and early-20th-century American paintings, graphics and the decorative arts. open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m.–4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m.–4 p.m.
Harry P Leu Gardens
Explore an amazing botanical oasis nearly 50-acres minutes from Downtown Orlando, and about 4 miles from the hotel. The garden and historical home were deeded to the City of Orlando in 1961 by Mr. Harry P. Leu and his wife, Mary Jane. Open 9am-4pm daily
Walt Disney World® Resort
Disney World is about 21 miles south of the hotel. With traffic it can sometimes take close to hour to get there from Winter Park, but if you have time to go to one of the parks, or walk around Disney Springs (which is free!), you should do it! Disney Springs has over 90 stores and over 70 places to eat, and things to do like bowling and a movie theater. If you don't want to go to a theme park, but want to bring home some Disney magic, just head to the Disney Store in Disney Springs!
Universal Orlando Resort
The Universal theme parks and City Walk are about 16 miles from the hotel. If you want to walk around City Walk (it's free!), you can eat at one of the 30 restaurants, and there are plenty of stores to grab Universal souvenirs.
DOMU - Dr. Phillips
Best Ramen Ever! This is one of our favorite restaurants - if you have the time we highly recommend you visit this casual, Michelin-starred restaurant. It's located about 17 miles away in Dr. Phillips.
East End Market
East End Market is a neighborhood market and food hall that we love to go to in the Audubon Park Garden District of Orlando, Florida. The Market showcases some of Central Florida’s top food entrepreneurs, makers, artisans & chefs. The two-story structure is home to a dozen merchants, a large event space, a demonstration kitchen, an incubator kitchen, offices, retail shops, a full-time, award-winning caterer & a world-class ramen restaurant. It's an easy uber ride about 4 miles from the hotel.
ICON Park
ICON Park has over 50 shops, restaurants and attractions, including the Orlando Eye Ferris Wheel and The Blue Man Group. ICON Park is about 16 miles south of the hotel.
