The dress code is formal. I encourage the women attending to wear a dress they have always wanted to wear but have never found the opportunity to wear it! I've had someone ask, "So, can I wear a gold dress? What about a hot pink dress with ruffles?" Yes! If it's a formal dress that you love, then wear it! You can go simple and elegant, or fun and bold! ** From the Basilica's Website: "Dresses should be modest and avoid low necklines, high open seams in the skirt, etc. Concealment of tattoos is required. . . Costume type attire is not appropriate for a sacred event and not permitted at the Basilica."**
It is a ten minute walk or a 5 minute drive from the Basilica to the Reception space. Basilica Address: 97 Haywood St., Asheville, NC, 28801 Reception Space: The Century Room, Pack's Tavern, 20 S Spruce St., Asheville, NC, 28801
The ceremony starts at 2:00pm and ends at 3:00pm. The reception starts with a cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony.
