Let's try this again...

Welcome to our Wedding 2.0! Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us; we appreciate and love all of you. Doing this a second time isn't easy as everything we had wished for was gone in an instant. Our time in Hawaii was something neither of us expected. Being a part of something that had so much destruction and sadness was not something we thought we would experience. That being said, we had to rethink what our wedding here would look like. We want to keep it as small and intimate with close family and friends, as this is a very sensitive and emotional time for the both of us. As much as we would love to have everyone there, it's not financially possible for us to do this time around. I hope everyone understands and know we love you all.

Maddy and Jacob met at Irvine Valley college in math class in 2013. On the first day of class the professor asked the students to get the phone number of the person next to them to use as a study buddy. Jacob asked Maddy, with her tiger striped hair, to be his study buddy. Maddy refused at first, as Jacob already had a name on his paper. Jacob not giving up on getting Maddy's number, said "I can't read one of them so can you write your number down." Maddy laughed and wrote her number down. Jacob then decided to text her about the homework (he never did) and continued on the conversation over text. They continued to talk all the time in class and over text, figured out that they knew mutual people that Maddy went to high school with, and Jacob invited her over to one of their houses for a party. That night he asked her to go on a date with him the next day. Maddy had something happen and told him we need to take a raincheck on the date. They ended up going on a date the next week where Jacob planned the entire date. The date didn't go as planned as he forgot to make reservations and they ended up at a restaurant they both disliked. The date was amazing and they had hours of great conversation over food they both did not care for. Since that date they hung out all the time and Jacob invited Maddy out to Palm Springs the weekend of Coachella in 2013 with all his friends. That was the weekend of April 12, 2013. The day Jacob took Maddy out to the golf course, and watched the sunset over the mountain Maddy knew from Soarin' over California. Jacob asked Maddy to be his girlfriend there. Jacob and Maddy went off to college together in Arizona and have grown together throughout the years. Navigating the growing pains of adulthood and having each other to lean on for support. December 22, 2021 was the day Jacob asked Maddy to marry him and they have been planning their wedding since that day!
