What’s the best way to get to Taos?

Answer

If you’re coming from Colorado, Taos is about a 4½ hour drive from Denver. From the East Coast (Boston or New York), the easiest route is to fly into Albuquerque (ABQ) or Santa Fe (SAF) and drive up to Taos through mountain scenery. The drive takes about 2½ hours from Albuquerque or 1½ hours from Santa Fe. Having your own car will make it much easier to explore! If you're unsure about travel plans and want advice, ask us!
