While we weren't able to have the wedding reception of our dreams last year due to the pandemic, we hope you will help us celebrate our one year anniversary of being husband and wife! Not only will it be our one-year marriage anniversary, but it will also be our nine-year anniversary of being a couple and 10 years since we went to senior prom together. We have so much to celebrate! What better way than to throw it back like it's senior prom? Join us for a night of eating, drinking, and—of course—dancing.

No one really expects to meet their life partner at a party when they're 18 years old, right? At the time, we wouldn't have thought so either. After briefly meeting and ignoring each other for the most part, the universe kept bringing us together again. The universe, and a few mutual friends. A couple of months after seeing each other two or three times, Jake took a big leap and asked Maddie to senior prom—on stage in front of her entire grade. It was a bold move, and it paid off. We danced the night away at senior prom and then instantly fell deeply in love and were together ever since. Just kidding. We were babies and figuring out life. The summer after senior prom, Maddie went off to college in California. Jacob stayed in ABQ. As two barely adults, we fell out of touch. But, as an extreme homebody, Maddie missed the 505 and transferred back to UNM. Maddie and Jake started talking again, and decided to give it a real go—making things *official* on June 4, 2013. We moved in together in 2016. Got engaged in August 2019. Tied the knot in front of our six closest people on June 4, 2021. And now we are so ready to FINALLY party with all of you.
