Morris Williams Golf Course
The location of Maddy and Tyler's first date and the site of Tyler's infamous 9-under, 63 round, supplanting the Morris Williams course record held by Ben Crenshaw. Rumor has it Maddy only went on the first date to fact-check the scorecard in the clubhouse. And you can't beat the margs and tacos at Fairways Cantina.
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
The natural spring water stays a comfortable 70 degrees year-round. Quintessential "Keep Austin Weird".

Lions Municipal Golf Course
In 1924, the Lions Club opened Lions Municipal, the first public golf course in the city. The group leased part of UT's Brackenridge Tract and converted the property into a nine-hole facility. The course was later expanded to 18 holes. The course retained the name "Lions Municipal" or "Muny" after the transfer of the lease to the city in 1936.
Matt's El Rancho
The spot for Tex Mex. Get the Bob Armstrong dip to quell your queso cravings. Good for groups, but get there early as there are no reservations. Warning: you might want to limit yourself to two Mexican Martinis! :)

A new add to Aaron Franklin's restaurant group, USC is an all-day style NOLA-inspired spot, serving po-boys and strong cocktails in a renovated neighborhood sporting goods store. No reservations needed, and usually a quick wait!
Butler Pitch & Putt
Butler Pitch & Putt is a fun, easy short course located near downtown Austin, and is where Maddy first learned to love playing golf in the Tuesday ladies group when she moved to her new city in 2022! The cute "pro shop" has awesome merch, cold cans of beer and tasty sandwiches! Butler does not do tee times, so you may have to wait a bit, but there are seats, corn hole and a putting green to pass the time. Short game clubs are available to use if you don't want to travel with your own.
