We met at 15, as students at Manning’s School. What began as a simple friendship grew naturally through shared moments, familiar faces, and the comfort of truly knowing each other. After nearly two years, that friendship blossomed into young love, effortless and full of excitement. Life took us on separate paths after high school, but our bond never faded. In 2022, guided by God, we gave our relationship an intentional chance, and we have been together ever since. On January 25th, 2025, Malik proposed in a moment that felt completely us, intimate and joyful. With happy tears and God’s guidance, Chevel said yes. Friendship remains at the heart of our relationship. We support each other through challenges, celebrate milestones, and cherish quiet, everyday moments: late-night talks, watching movies, going on dates, sharing our home with our cat Simba, or Chevel reading while Malik plays FIFA. With God at the center, we encourage each other’s dreams, grow as a couple, and find strength in one another. As we prepare to become husband and wife, our hearts are full of gratitude and anticipation.
