Our story is an interesting one. If it weren't for my best friend and bridesmaid Sierra Fink, I wouldn't have met my Heby. One night in college Sierra convinced me to go to a country line dancing joint called Renegades. I had no clue who Andrew or of his friends were and had never seen them before but one of our girlfriends had a crush on Andrew at the time. We got there and I was mortified of having to attempt to line dance in front of a huge crowd of people I didn't know. After watching Andrew fail to ride a mechanical bull I decided to break the ice and introduce myself to him. He said about two sentences to me then left to continue dancing because "a song he knew came on" and he continued to line dance! I thought what kind of cowboy is this dude to ditch me to dance. But, after that night I couldn't stop running into him on PBA's campus, I saw him everywhere! I found out later that he had figured out my class schedule and would wait for me intentionally so we would pass each other. Like any college girls Sierra and I followed him on instagram and he shockingly slid into my DMs. His first message to me was "So I got to be honest about something" only to tell me that he had forgotten what my name was and had been trying to figure it out that whole time. After that he asked me out on a breakfast date and I gave him my bagel which I think was what really won him over. The rest after that is history. I am amazed at the man Andrew is. He handles every situation with such faith, patience, and wisdom. He has the purest and kindest heart, loving my soul in the most perfect way. He never fails to put a smile on my face and the joy he brings to my life is overwhelming. We have been through a lot so far together and there is no one else I would rather go through life with than him. I can’t believe I found the true love I thought you only saw in movies!
Madison & I’s meeting story isn’t a tale of love at first sight, if I’m being brutally honest I actually hardly noticed her at first. It was a Friday night and my friends and I went to renagades, a line dancing bar, as we commonly did on Fridays. I was actually being set up with someone my friend Jacob knew. I didn’t feel any spark with this girl so I decided to spend the night dancing instead. I never thought I had any skill on the dance floor but apparently I caught the eye of the woman I now call the love of my life. In between songs I decided to take a break and stumbled over to her. I introduced myself and had a very bland 15 second conversation. After that I was back on the dance floor because one of the few songs I knew the dance to came on. After a song or two I looked around for that beautiful girl again but she was no where to be found. I figured I’d never see her again and was content with that. Over the next week or two, however I began seeing her around campus, which I had never before. Every time we made eye contact or passed by each other she would smile at me and I’d feel my heart beat a little faster in my chest. I knew there was something special about this girl and I wanted to find out what. But there was a problem… I had forgotten her name and for the life of me could not figure it out. Social media stalking led no where until one day I received a follow on Instagram from her best friend Sierra and from her herself. I was shocked and excited and I knew that it was not some random coincidence. I took it as a sign and immediately slid into her dm’s. It didn’t take long for my infectious charm and humor to win her over and get me a date, which was followed by a second, meeting almost her entire family, and then some more dates after that. Let’s just say from that moment forward I made sure to never forget her name again.
