We first met at church through our community group and quickly found ourselves in the same circle of friends. Over time, we became pretty close - the kind of friends who just get each other and end up spending way too much time together (not that we minded). Here's a little secret: Maddye had a crush on David first. But it took a good two years (and a little nudge from a friend) before David finally worked up the courage to bring it up. What followed was a whirlwind of "do we/don't we" moments - from Maddye admitting she liked him, to David hesitating, to a couple weeks of silence, and finally David realizing he didn't want to lose her. After a lot of heart-to-hearts (most of them at the Momentary), Maddye said "yes" to that very first date - and the rest is history. Fast forward to the proposal: David popped the question in the exact same spot where we decided we weren't "just friends" anymore. From friends to forever - it's all part of the story.
