We're getting married!

It was May 16, 2018, a day neither of us will ever forget. Ryan had just come home to Lakeland for the summer after finishing the semester at Penn State. That morning, he woke up to a frantic call from his mom, telling him that his childhood dog, Zack, had run away. Zack, who was 9 years old, had never run away before, so this came as a shock. As it turned out, Zack had wandered up the road to a house that had recently become home to a new family in the neighborhood. The daughter of that family called Ryan’s mom to let her know Zack was safe, and Ryan’s mom made sure to mention that she was his age—and, in her words, "super cute." Without missing a beat, Ryan quickly got dressed and ran up the road to meet the girl who had saved his dog. Little did he know, that girl was Maddy. When Ryan reached the house, the two of them were equally stunned when they met for the first time. What began as a simple rescue mission for Zack became the start of something truly special. And from that moment on, the rest was history.
