I was in OT school and RJ was finishing undergrad at Texas Tech University when we both last minute decided to go out with a friend. God must have known our paths were to cross that night when a friend told me to get ready quick and I was able to pull it off in under 30 minutes. We decided on Bier Haus, a local Lubbock bar and the second I saw him standing there I turned to her, said he was really cute and she replied "we aren't leaving here until he gets your number". Needless to say we got to talking, he gave me his business card, got my number and an hour later we were outside of Bier Haus jumping up and down. The next day I waited by my phone until I heard from him, we set up our first date, and RJ pursued me fiercely from then on out. We are so thankful for that night and to be marrying our best friend.

RJ proposed in Fredericksburg, Texas at Signor Vineyards, the first winery we visited together. I broke the souvenir glass he bought for me so when we went back the second time, he insisted we make a quick stop to replace the glass I broke. After getting a glass of wine he got down on one knee and told me he had been waiting a long time to ask me this question. Shortly after, my best friend and maid of honor, Cassidy came running up to me. RJ had been planning with her for months to make this happen and she captured the most perfect memories I will never forget. We spent the rest of the day celebrating in Fredericksburg!
