We first met during our freshman year at the University of St. Thomas, thanks to mutual friends who introduced us. At the time, we were just two people getting to know each other in shared social circles—no sparks, no grand romantic moments, just easy, genuine conversations and a growing friendship. As time went on, we kept crossing paths. By sophomore year, neither of us were looking for anything serious, but something started to shift. We found ourselves naturally gravitating toward each other more and more, and what started as a strong friendship slowly turned into something more. We officially started dating that year and have now been together for six wonderful years. In that time, we’ve built a life full of love and adventure. We got our first puppy—Leo—moved in together, traveled together, made a second move to a new home, and in January 2025, we got engaged. The proposal is a memory we’ll both treasure forever. What was supposed to be a casual night out with friends in downtown Wayzata turned out to be one of the best days of our lives. We grabbed drinks at one of our favorite spots and took a walk down the dock—though instead of heading toward the restaurant, Ben steered us in the opposite direction. That’s when he popped the question. It was perfect: simple, meaningful, and completely us. The best part? We got to celebrate that same night surrounded by our closest family and friends. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter together, and we’re so excited to share it with you!
