Route: Board the train at Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center (Amtrak/Metrolink). Ride to Oceanside, then connect via COASTER to Carlsbad. Amtrak Pacific Surfliner: Departs every ~2 hours, costs $16–18, takes about 1 hour 3 minutes. Metrolink: Runs approximately every 4 hours, fares around $10–13, with similar travel time.
