We met through mutual friends in the beginning of October 2012. After talking everyday after that, Ben asked me out on October 19 2012. We dated for 6 years until October 19, our anniversary, Ben FINALLY popped the question! Our wedding day is September 21st and we plan on having a very small and intimate wedding. We are so excited for you all to join us on our special day for our reception on October 4th.

Our 6 year anniversary was quickly approaching and Ben and I had been talking about getting married for a few years now. It was starting to become a more serious conversation and I knew that he would ask soon. We had a plan of taking our dogs for a walk on October 19, our anniversary, but the weather was bad so we decided to go shopping and out for dinner. Ben was acting very weird (he's never been good at keeping secrets) so I knew he was going to ask. When we were about ready to leave, he was pacing in the living room acting very nervous. We just hugged and talked for a while and I basically told him to just get it over with and ask! He said he couldn't wait any longer and finally built up the courage and asked me, down on one knee with our two pups running around us in a frenzy. It only took him 15 minutes of shaking and sweating, but he did it! And of course I said YES!
