What is the dress code?
Answer
Friday - Cocktail Attire. Up to your interpretation! Saturday - Floral formal gowns and suits. Everyone is asked to avoid white and red colours. Black and beige are OK for gentlemen only. Traditionally, brides in Russia wore red, and later white, while black for ladies is a mourning colour. Ladies, please no white/beige dresses with patterns!

How long is the trip from Los Angeles?
Answer
Puerto Vallarta is a 2.5-3 hour direct flight from LAX. Casa Velas is 5-10 minutes from the airport, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit is 20-30 minutes away. We recommend arriving in the morning/afternoon on November 15th or earlier.

Can Casa Velas guests visit GVRN anytime and vice versa?

Absolutely! You are welcome to use all amenities and services at either of the hotels as a Velas Resorts guest. Free transportation will be provided at certain times. More details to follow.

Can external guests be at GVRN during the day?
Answer
Unfortunately, if you are not staying at GVRN or Casa Velas, you are not permitted to be on the premises until 4:00pm of November 16, 2024 or one hour before our ceremony. Thank you for your understanding!

Where will the events take place?
Answer
All events take place at Grand Velas, except our Friday rehearsal dinner. It will be at La Dolce Vita restaurant located in Nuevo Vallarta, 10 minute walk from GVRN.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Answer
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Early access to suites is subject to availability, however, guests do have access to the pools and restaurants. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Late check-out is subject to availability and can be arranged through your Personal Concierge.

Can we bring kids?
Answer
Unlike the adults-only Casa Velas, GVRN is a family-friendly resort, your kids are welcome to stay with you at this resort. During our events, you can use the Baby Concierge services at no extra charge (subject to availability). Please send requests to babyconciergern@velasresorts.com.

Do we have to use the room block link you provided?

Absolutely! We want to make sure you are getting our special rates and are a part of our wedding group! The resort is fully all-inclusive but with our wedding block you will be getting extra benefits not available to other resort guests.

Can we stay longer at special rates?
Answer

What if we need to cancel the reservation?
Answer
The cancellation policy is explained in the "Policies" section at the wedding block link we provided. We recommend not booking the suites until you are confident in your ability to join us, as there is a 1 night of stay penalty applied for early cancellations and full stay penalty for late ones.
