After being accepted to their dream school (Gig'em!), Max and Maddie decided to attend a Christian-based college orientation camp. During a small group icebreaker game, where participants answered questions based on the color of a Starburst they picked from a bucket, Max shared how he had spent his summer working with cows on his grandpa's ranch. Maddie, despite her very limited knowledge about cows, used this topic to strike up a conversation. For the rest of the week, Max was known as "Country Boy" to Maddie's mom and sister, who received daily updates via text on how camp was going. Max and Maddie reconnected once school started, and the rest is history!
