Dear Family and Friends, Thank you for your thoughts during this time. We hope all of you are staying safe and healthy! In light of all that has been happening worldwide, we have opted to postpone our wedding. While Tyler and I plan to get legally married on June 5th, we would like to invite you all to join us at our wedding celebration on October 18th. Please make sure to update your RSVP status online by September 5, 2020, if you are able to attend or not attend, so we can ensure we have an accurate head count for our reception. We are working on providing a live-stream option of our small, private ceremony on June 5th, to allow you all to witness to our marriage from the safety of your own home. For information on our updated wedding celebration, how to access the live-stream video, and make hotel reservations please check our wedding website at: https://www.zola.com/wedding/maddieandtyler2020. Wishing you all health and happiness in the coming months! Maddie and Tyler

We will also be posting the ceremony video to this page afterwards. Thank you all for your love and support! We are looking forward to celebrating in October! Stay safe & healthy! Maddie & Tyler
It was the summer of 2014, and we both had jobs as lifeguards at the Cooper YMCA. I (Tyler) just came back home from my first year of college away from Lincoln and I needed money badly, so I decided to find an easy job as a lifeguard. I did not know my life would change forever after that summer. I (Maddie) was just getting out of a relationship in the middle of the summer, and I wanted to finish my summer by having as much fun as I could with my new co-workers and friends from school. My friend Cate and I were out at the county fair, then my co-worker Tyler told me that we should stop by his house and say "Hi" to him and his friend Nick! Little did Maddie know that night, was going to be the night that changed everything. I (Tyler) was throwing a birthday party for my roommate Nick and suggested to Maddie that she come over and say "Hi". After that night, I started "talking" to Maddie more seriously for the next couple of weeks, and we ended up going on our first date at Holmes Lake golf course. After that round of golf, I met her parents! I (Maddie) had this feeling after he met my parents and knew that this was something special! I asked Tyler one night if he knew who Eric Church was because I saw that he was coming to Omaha soon. I told Tyler that we had to go, but the one thing I did not tell Tyler was that I had NO IDEA who Eric Church was! I had simply wanted another chance to hang out with him. So once that night came around, we got to the concert and both had such a great time. It was a night we will never forget! A month later, Tyler asked me out, and we started dating on October 12th, 2014. From that day on, the rest was history!
It was April 5th a day that Tyler and I both had off of work from the Disney College Program. I was so amazed at the fact that all of our friends had the day off as well, I thought it was just luck since it was my birthday. We had all gone to Hollywood Studios then lunch right after. Once we all got back from lunch we got ready to go to dinner and Magic Kingdom for the night. Our dinner consisted of ice cream from the Boardwalk shop called Ample Hills Creamery (that was what the birthday girl wanted for dinner). We then had gone to the Sea Breeze Point at the Board Walk to take group pictures since we were all dressed nice. When Tyler and I were taking our picture together he said "Wait, something is missing." and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course could not stop crying and said "YES!!!". We then had a great night at the park with our friends and both just could not stop smiling (Except for Splash Mountain, we hate Splash Mountain).
