In Madison's senior year of High School, she began assisting in Mr. Davis' Sophomore Algebra 2 class. Little did she know, her future husband, Trevor, was sitting in that classroom. Fast forward 2 years to UCM. Madison was a part of Sigma Kappa and an old friend was going through recruitment. At that time, she was dating Trevor. For the next couple years, Madison and Trevor were at all the same gatherings. Fast forward 2 more years, Madison had just graduated with her BS in Mathematics, and unsure of what she wanted to do, she decided to get her MS in Statistics. The way her program worked she was taking some undergraduate Statistics courses. Trevor, double majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics, was in most of her classes. For the last several years, these two were in each other's lives, but never had the guts to talk to one another. Fast forward 5 more years. Both Trevor and Madison had started careers, been in and out of the dating pool, but had not found their true love. Then one night, the two opened their Tinder apps and found themselves a match! Trevor sent a message about Madison's cat, Nagini, which caught her attention. Getting past any weirdness, hard to do with this couple, they agreed to a first date! Despite both being prone to awkwardness, the date went well and ended with Trevor saying, "Thanks for coming..." Madison found Trevor awkward, funny, charming, and brilliant. She couldn't wait to see him again. They hung out just a couple days later! Since then, Madison has moved in with Trevor along with her dog, Dobby, and cat, Nagini. On top of Trevor's cat, Joey, they also welcomed a friend's cat, Oliver, into their lives. It's a crazy household with two weird people and four weird fur-children, but it is a happy household!

After a year of dating, Trevor wanted to take Madison on a weekend vacation. He planned a fun weekend trip to Des Moines, IA. Yes, Iowa...but it was a fun trip! They arrived Friday evening to their hotel. They relaxed for a bit before heading to dinner at Centro. They enjoyed probably the best meal they ever had! The next day (after sleeping in for once!) they got lunch at Hessen Haus where they enjoyed a ginormous pretzel and a couple of beers! They decided the next stop would be the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. When arriving in the parking lot, Madison was shuffling things around in the back seat and accidentally felt the ring box in Trevor's jacket pocket. Not really sure what to do, she handed him the jacket and said he would need it. AWKWARD!! But she got excited for what may happen that day! They walked around the gardens for a while when Trevor suggested they go outside. They walked around this pond and found a bench to relax on. Trevor got up and said, "Okay, I can't wait any longer!" He got on one knee and popped the question. Madison only had one word on her mind, "YES!!" He put the ring on her finger and the rest is a blur!
