Our story is a modern-day love story to a tea! We met through a dating app (hinge), and his pick-up line was “Tell me some cool Nursing stories”, so of course I responded by ghosting him. Oops, about a month later I reach out with Sorry I forgot to reply and the conversation just took off from there! Our first date was at Spaghetti Warehouse and it was love at first meatball! We ended up closing the restaurant down because we were so lost in our conversation with each other. The staff was putting up the chairs around us and cleaning the floors! The second date did not go as well. We call this date the dreaded Omelet date. We were both still testing out the waters with each other and I wanted my friends opinion on this man. So I snuck my friends into the restaurant to spy on the date. Little did I know he would not be paying for this date. As soon as the waiter asked for one bill or two and he answered two. My friends said the color left my face and they thought was going to run out of the restaurant. I know sounds dramatic but the man could have just paid for the 8-dollar omelet! He kept asking me out and on every date, there were more and more sparks! Till one date we were at an OSU hockey game ( they were playing Michigan State) and we were singing to the songs in between periods and he let it slip. He said, ”oh man I love you” and he got very quiet and pretended like he said I love hockey until I said, “I love you too Jims”
