Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

To ensure a beautiful and cohesive atmosphere, we kindly ask our guests to dress in semi-formal attire. For Ladies: Elegant cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates. For the mass, please cover shoulders if possible. For Gentlemen: Suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt (tie optional), or a blazer. Please avoid overly casual attire such as jeans, shorts, or sneakers. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we can’t wait to see you all dressed up and ready to celebrate!

Question

What should I know about the traditional Catholic Mass?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate our love with you in a traditional Catholic wedding Mass. Our ceremony will take place in a beautiful church and will include sacred readings, prayers, and the exchange of our vows before God. Here are a few things to keep in mind: The Ceremony Length: A full Catholic wedding Mass typically lasts about an hour and includes Holy Communion. Participation: You may notice moments of standing, sitting, and kneeling throughout the Mass. If you’re not familiar with Catholic traditions, feel free to follow along or remain seated as you feel comfortable. Communion: If you are Catholic and prepared to receive the Eucharist, you are welcome to partake in Communion. If not, you are still invited to come forward for a blessing—simply cross your arms over your chest as a sign. Above all, we hope you enjoy this beautiful and sacred part of our wedding day. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask—we’re just so grateful to have you there to celebrate with us!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

While we appreciate our loved ones wanting to capture the day, please note that per our church's instructions no additional photography other than our professional photographer is permitted during the ceremony, which will be a Catholic Mass. However, at the reception, please take as many pictures as you'd like!!

Question

What should I do if I have any dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know! There will be vegetarian and vegan options available for selection when you RSVP. If you have other restrictions that we should be aware of, reach out to the bride or groom and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Question

Will the festivities be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our celebrations will primarily be held indoors with air-conditioning, with the option to step outside as you would like. Our reception venue will have a patio adjacent to the main room for guests to get some fresh air. Note that Virginia can be hot and humid in June!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the travel section on this website! The venue is near an international airport, so there are many additional hotels close by. Ubers are plentiful in the area to get around.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! All guests are named on the Save the Dates and Invitations. If there is any confusion, please reach out.

Question

Can I bring a date?
