The Tampa History Museum is also home of a satellite location of the Columbia Restaurant, which is famous and the original is located in Ybor City. Spanish food, sangria and very yummy. Speaking of Ybor, there is a trolley in this same vicinity. The trolley goes to and from Ybor....and free.
Continuing along Riverwalk and directly on the channel, you are now closer to the hotels (the bridge to the Westin is right here). There is an outdoor area called the Pavilion, which serves beverages and food. This is next to the Tampa Convention Center. In this area there are electric boats for rent. We have rented a few times. You actually drive the boat down the channel with various spots to stop and partake in beverage venues. Also, there is a ferry that runs to and from St Pete. Limited hours but fun.
At the far end of the Riverwalk is Armature Works…this is about 3 miles from start. Armature Works is fairly new and trendy. Fun outside sitting area. Can rent paddle boats and bikes. Inside is a food court and home of a couple of very nice restaurants with one having root top bar. (AND, where they got ENGAGED!)
