Owen and Maddie's love story began in the summer of 2023 when they met while working at a guest ranch in Saratoga, WY. After spending a few months getting to know each other, they officially started dating on September 17, 2023. This date holds extra meaning for them, as it not only marks the beginning of their relationship but will also be the day they say "I do." Although Owen and Maddie both attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming, it wasn’t until after Owen graduated in May 2023 that their paths' crossed. One year into their relationship, Owen knew it was time to take the next step. While they were visiting his family for Thanksgiving in 2024, Owen went shopping for the perfect ring. He kept this a secret for almost a month, planning how to ask the big question. On December 31, 2024, Owen surprised Maddie. She was under the impression that they were simply meeting friends to celebrate the New Year in downtown Fort Collins, but as they walked through the streets, Owen dropped to one knee. Of course, Maddie happily said YES! Now, the happy couple is eagerly counting down the days to their big day and enjoying every moment of planning this next chapter of their lives.
