We met on a warm July evening in 2019. While it might have been a set-up, and Maddie might have (lovingly) asked "Who's Nick??" about half-way through the evening, it was like we had known each other our entire lives. Fast forward a few months and this romance blossomed on the campus of UNBSJ - becoming official on November 15th, 2019. (That's right, we're getting married on our anniversary!) In spite of the global pandemic that ensued shortly thereafter, we became quite literally inseparable. We made the most of a tough time, finding fun moments in the chaos and encouraging each other through university degrees. We continued to laugh our way through finding our first apartment together, Nick travelling back and forth to Fredericton to complete his program, and the trials of Maddie starting her teaching career. No matter what life throws our way, we know that we'll always have each other to navigate it with. Now, (almost) six years later, here we are...partners, fiancées, and best friends. Who would've thought?
