Senior year at UD, we went out to the famous Tim’s Bar. I was overheating on the dance floor and struggling to plug in a fan high up on the wall — definitely in need of a hero (and a fan). He came over to help, and that’s when we realized we had matched on a dating app the night before — neither of us had messaged yet. Almost five years later, with both of our careers underway, grad school behind us, a cat, countless adventures, laughter, and game nights, here we are.

On our monthly date night, we went to Blendon Woods for a picnic. We had a classic picnic basket and watercolor paints and ended up having a little painting contest. Afterward, he suggested we “stretch our legs,” and when we turned around… he was on his knees. I haven’t ever been so surprised or excited. Our friends, Ben and Lars, were hiding nearby, capturing the moment in photos, which made the day even more perfect.
