we're tying the knot!

We first met at a crawfish boil hosted by one of our mutual friends. Maddie showed up with her brother, Ben, mostly because she needed to get out of the house, and Kevin had no idea that Ben even had a sister, let alone one he’d instantly be captivated by. According to our friends, Kevin spent most of the night talking about “the pretty girl” across the garage. At one point, he asked Maddie where her boyfriend was, and she quickly replied, “I don’t have one because I don’t want to train it.” That line definitely stuck. Somewhere between Kevin’s endless compliments and Maddie trying crawfish for the very first time (thanks to Linds for the guidance!), the night took an unforgettable turn - we learned Maddie is allergic to shellfish. She woke up the next morning with a swollen face… and a Facebook friend request from a Kevin Christian Striegel. He was fast to add her, but it took him a couple weeks to work up the courage to actually send a message. Once he did, everything fell into place—and the rest is history. 💛
