Jimmy & Maddie met at the prime of their youth - middle school. Jimmy was the new guy from Longmont and Maddie came to Sunset Middle School with all the Niwot kids Jimmy now calls best friends. There wasn’t instant attraction… Jimmy rode his skateboard and wore his skater shoes, while Maddie shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch (which is still true today). Over the years, Maddie and Jimmy formed a lasting friendship that developed into a relationship in 2013 when they were finishing college at CU Boulder.

After 9 years of dating, Maddie and Jimmy were finally ready to tie the knot. In September in 2022, Maddie and Jimmy designed her engagement ring together. After Maddie waited two long months, Jimmy finally proposed on November 5th, 2022. They were at home, surrounded by their furbabies, and enjoyed the special moment together before calling their friends and family to share the news.
