Jeremy and I met freshman year in Chem-E-Car. At first, I thought of Jeremy as some guy who I was competing with for captain and who grumbled about taxes and having to save money so he could marry some girl in Indiana. Several semesters, trips and drinks later, I find myself realizing how wrong that first impression was. I am honored to stand next to Jeremy as he marries the woman he loves (even if she is gluten-free, which I keep telling him is a red flag).

When I first met Jeremy, it was completely by chance when I joined an extracurricular club he captained. Back then, I found his intelligence intimidating. But now that we’re roommates, I still find his intelligence intimidating and he yells at me for not doing the dishes. At least he brings Maddie around every once in a while.
