As Maddie’s favorite sister, Carlie was destined to be Maddie’s Maid of Honor. One could say she was born for this, accepted the role with humility and grace, and had too much editing power over the wedding website. Growing up, Maddie and Carlie were as close as could be, enjoying years of sharing bunk beds, countless hours dancing, and going on to share an undergraduate experience at Bowdoin College (go u bears!). She is also aunt and best friend to their dog Zooey. Most likely to: smuggle Zooey into the wedding
Ryan Larochelle
Best Man
Jacques' closest brother in age and also in height (just a 1/2 inch shorter), Ryan will be serving as Best Man. While it may seem that Jacques has followed in Ryan's footsteps, Jacques likes to point out that his feet are a half size bigger. Only 16 months apart in age, Ryan and Jacques shared many sports teams and several years at Bowdoin College together. While not bunk mates like Maddie and Carlie, Ryan is Jacques' closest confidante. Most likely to: challenge you to a dance off at the wedding.
Hannah Rutan

Hannah is Maddie's sister-in-law, married to Maddie's brother, John, who will be officiating the wedding! Hannah quickly assumed the role of Maddie's big sis and seamlessly joined the Rutan Fam in 2019. She and Jacques have bonded as the family's first "acquisitions" and are ready for Jacques to be an official member of the fam. Most likely to: give birth at the wedding!!
Matthieu Larochelle
Groomsman
The oldest brother, Jacques and Matthieu shared a bedroom together growing up. He taught Jacques a number of skills, including how to ride a bike and has been one of Jacques' biggest mentors. Matthieu works in pharmaceutical consulting and lives in Portsmouth, NH. Most likely to: get a sunburn in the barn.
Casey Hunter

Casey and Maddie have grown up as practically family after the Rutan and Hunter parents became friends during business school at Tuck (class of 88!) Annual family vacations have turned into annual themed New Years' Eve (or Presidents' Day) weekends and the whole crew has a blast whenever they are together. If only Max and Cameron looked as stunning in dresses as Casey! Jacques has also taken on Casey's boyfriend, Ricky, as a 7th Larochelle brother and can't wait to boogie the night away. Most likely to: start a game of Dartmouth Pong
Nicholas Larochelle

The elder twin and second oldest brother, Nick has always been a close ally for Jacques. Living in NH, Jacques and Maddie have been fortunate to visit Nick and his family often and love spending time with his children. Jacques will be going on to work with Nick and his wife Zea in July! Most likely to: get carded at the bar.
Jacqueline Sullivan

Jackie was one year ahead of Maddie at Bowdoin and quickly became friends in multiple dance groups on campus. It was through Jackie that Maddie and Jacques met (officially) during college! The first picture of Jacques and Maddie together was from Halloween, where Maddie and Jackie were dressed as members of the Spice Girls and Jacques was dressed as a banana (a winning look). Most likely to: sing every word to "Come on Eileen" on the dance floor
Michael Larochelle
Groomsman
The younger twin, Michael has been one of Jacques' closest supports. He patiently listened to Jacques talk about every single patient after every shift for the first month of residency and has been an incredible teacher. He is also and emergency medicine doctor in Park City, UT. Most likely to: fall while dancing. #twoleftfeet
Danaé Hirsch

Danaé was two years ahead of Maddie at Bowdoin and also met through dance groups. As Maddie's "Vague Mama," Danaé showed Maddie the ropes on campus and introduced her to Bowdoin's finest dining (shout out to the Honky Tonk Casserole). Danaé will also be marrying a Bowdoin polar bear (Kevin!!) in France this July. Go U Bears! Most likely to: breakdance à la her days in Obvious (Bowdoin's Hip Hop dance group)
Christian Larochelle
Groomsman
Christian has always been available for Jacques, whether it was introducing Jacques to social life at Bowdoin during his first semester or showing him around Boston during medical school. Christian works for a hedge fund in Boston. Most likely to: fix his hair during the wedding ceremony.
Amanda Kaiser
Bridesmaid
Amanda lives in Portland and became fast friends with Maddie while their SO's were both in the Emergency Medicine Residency at Maine Medical Center. Amanda is originally from Wisconsin, but is working at MMC as a nurse in the ICU and Maddie and Jacques are crossing their fingers that they can convince her to stay in New England for the long haul. Most likely to: give IV fluids to someone during the wedding weekend
Will Rutan
Groomsman
Maddie's next oldest brother, Captain Doctor Will is an Emergency Medicine compatriot. He is also traveling the furthest to get to Maine. When not working in the hospital, Will can be found hiking or skiing the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Most likely to: request a song that no one else knows but we probably should
John Rutan
OFFICIANT/GROOMSMAN
The eldest Rutan sibling, John will serve as Officiant and Groomsman. It was at John and his wife Hannah's apartment in Boston that Jacques was first exposed to Rutan Family Game Night, a week after they started dating. The Rutan's say they didn't let him win a single game but Jacques knows he can win whenever he feels like it. John has been a supportive extra older brother to Jacques and greatly expanded his scotch palate. Most likely to: tell an early dad joke.
