State Street
Every time we visit Madison we always find ourselves walking down state street. Some of our favorite places to stop at along the way include Poke Plus (a tasty and light lunch), Insignia (for all of your badger apparel), Little Luxuries (cute boutique with a variety of gifts; many local to Wisconsin), and Rethreads (for a vintage hunt) !
Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
For the art lovers like Maddie and Bryce, consider visiting the Contemporary Art Museum which includes a variety of exhibitions from varying art forms.
Wisconsin State Capitol
Take a trip to the state capitol for a touch of history and an appreciation of architecture. While walking through the capitol head to the top of the dome for a great view of Madison. Free tours are provided if you are looking for a more in depth history lesson; Bryce approved!
Memorial Union
Wind down your activities with a beer at the Memorial Union. Whether you like live music, a view of the water, or a crisp beer (brat included), the Union has all of it! On your way out be sure to grab a scoop of ice cream. Bryce's favorite flavor is blue moon while Maddie's is strawberry.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Olbrich botanical gardens is a MUST see on your trip to Madison. With both indoor and outdoor garden centers there is so much to appreciate. The gardens are home to the Royal Thai pavilion, the only one in the continental United States and the only one outside of Thailand surrounded by a garden.
