FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal. Short or long dresses for the ladies, and a suit or sports jacket for men.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of our immediate nieces and nephew. We encourage you use this as a kid free night out!

Question

Is there transportation from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

There will not be any transportation from the ceremony to the reception. However, it is only a short 10–15-minute drive. The hotel that we have booked is right across the street from our venue. There is also Uber/Lyft easily available.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, you are to park in Forbes Garage at Duquesne for the ceremony. There will be validated parking passes so it will be free of charge. There is also a parking garage at Soldier’s and Sailors. The cost is $5 for the day and $10 to keep your car over night. I recommend to park there if you’re staying at the nearby hotel because parking is much cheaper. If you need handicap access, there is an entrance off University Place with a ramp where you can be dropped off. All cars will need parked in the garage, however.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:00 pm, but please allow enough time to park and get from the parking garage to the ceremony. We recommend being in the church by 2:45 pm. Cocktail hour starts at 4:45. We recommend going straight from the ceremony to cocktail hour to allow enough time for parking and getting into the venue.
