Our story has a somewhat “modern and unromantic” start by meeting through a dating app… but things quickly developed into more than either of us could’ve imagined was possible from that point of origin. A first date adventure of deep conversation, getting kicked out of a park and sweating to death in the heat of summer, to a second date in Gatlinburg enjoying the aquarium and getting lost due to our poor navigation skills, to so many more dates that kept becoming more and more frequent. From Austin’s MANY wild first (never turned second) dates highly contrasted with my few and very picky dates, both of us quickly felt something here was different and special. Austin may be able to say he “knew” before me (and also worked up the courage to say those three little words first), but it didn’t take long for me to catch up. We’ve both prayed for someone like the other for most of our lives, and have loved getting to further our faith journeys alongside one another to build a Christ-centered marriage. After a year and a half of more laughs than we could imagine, emotional and deep conversations/bonding, adventures near and far, future planning, career changes, goal setting, growing spiritually, facing challenges, building community and doing life together, I truly am so blessed to be in love with my best friend and I cannot wait to start the next big adventure of marriage with my person. Thank you all for being a part of our story and coming alongside us to celebrate one of the biggest days of our lives! We can’t wait to see you in October!
