Maddie, a free-spirited college student studying Alternative Medicine, and Austin, a history buff and college football player at Fitchburg State, never expected to find love in a hardware store. But that's exactly what happened at Home Depot, where Austin managed the front end and Maddie worked in the flooring department. Austin's clever excuses to see Maddie often involved "forgetting" his lunchbox in the break room. As he strolled by, he'd absorb every detail about her, from her bright smile to her eclectic style. But before he could make his move, Austin had to leave Home Depot temporarily to play a season of college football. Undeterred, Austin devised a plan to ask Maddie out when he returned to work. His strategy paid off, and they soon found themselves on a date at Denny's, laughing and getting to know each other. The night was capped off with a trip to the theater to see "80 for Brady."
