Madison's Farmer's Market is a huge claim to fame. It takes place every summer Saturday morning. In June it will be very busy, but doing a loop around our beautiful Capitol Square while perusing farm fresh produce, baked goods, and other goodies from around the county is well worth it! Other reccomendations around the square: Teddywedgers: Pop into Teddywedger's, right off the square on State Street to enjoy one of the favorites of Adam's Dad, Ron: the Teddy Wedge! Tipsy Cow: Maddie's favorite spot for cheese curds in all of Madison Fromagination: A cheese shop befitting of anyone's wildest Wisconsin dairy fantasies
This impressive collection on UW-Madison's campus is totally free with generous hours - totally worth a visit!
Known as "the terrace", this is a famed community gathering spot on the shores of Lake Mendota just outside of the UW's Memorial Union. Grab a table, a pitcher, and a brat and enjoy the view!
Olbrich gardens are supremely beautiful in the summer and free to the public. Right across the street from Madison's second "big" lake, Monona. It is nestled in the Atwood neighborhood, near Garver Feed Mill -- another great space with pizza, ice cream, coffee, and shops.
Across the street from Olbrich Gardens -- open air Biergarten right in Olbrich Park with stunning views of Lake Monona!
We met at Alchemy on our first date. Safe to say, we felt the magic!!!
Columbus is home to Wiscosnin's largest antique store, containing multiple floors and an endless selection of wonderful antiques.
This amazing roadside attraction is only an hour away from Madison and not at all in the direction of the venue, but it is one of our favorite places in the world. If you visit, you will never forget it!
