T and Maddie met their Sophomore Year of High School at Regis Jesuit in Aurora, Colorado. Despite having many mutual friends, the couple did not really meet until they both went to Homecoming without dates in a group of friends. At just 15, Maddie and one of her friends did not have a ride to the dance. T's mom Jody and his sister Jordan graciously offered to give them a ride there with T. Although T was very shy and reserved at first, once they got in the car, Maddie couldn't stop smiling and laughing at all his jokes and the funny Youtube videos he showed them on the way to the dance. Maddie fell head-over-heels for T that night in the car ride to the dance and she knew, whether they were going to be best friends or date, that she wanted to get to know him better. After that night, they got to know each other as friends until T asked her on a movie date on January 2, 2014. They have been together ever since! Maddie and T graduated High School in 2016 and quickly found themselves at the same college two years later. At Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, Maddie and T's love and faith grew and grew. T was baptized into the Catholic Church on Easter Day 2017 and they both got the opportunity to travel Europe and study together in a 13th century Carthusian Monastery in Gaming, Austria! The two graduated in May 2020. A month later, on June 21, 2020, while the pair's families were celebrating Father's Day at the Raffa's cabin in Winter Park, Colorado, T asked Maddie to go on a walk to the bridge. While posing for a picture, T got on one knee and asked her to marry him. After gushing for a whole minute, she finally said yes! Their families, who were hiding in the bushes the whole time, are thrilled about their engagement and cannot wait to celebrate them.
