We are so excited that after 3 years of engagement, we picked a date! It’s 100% official. We signed a contract and everything! More info is to come. For now save the date and keep on the lookout for more wedding details!
Due to our budget and location, we chose to keep our wedding small and intimate. At this time, we will only have 40 spots for the entire wedding. As we would love to see your plus one, we are limiting the invites and no plus ones will be granted. We hope you understand and respect our decision. Once the invites are sent out, we hope to receive a response as soon as possible so we can make adjustments if necessary.
Believe it or not, we met each other back in March 2012! We were both working at AMC Theatres in Glendale, AZ. Michael was a Supervisor and I was a crew member. (Michael was my boss!) I totally thought he was the cutest guy EVER...but Michael was already MARRIED at the time! So we just remained friends. Michael ended up transferring to a different theatre to become a manager and I didn’t see him quite as often. It wasn’t until 2015 when Michael and I were both separating from our exes that we met up with a group of friends and we started hanging out a lot with our friend Seth (Michael’s Best Man). After a couple months hanging out, we decided to plan a date! 🥰
On May 25th, 2015, Michael planned the best date I have ever been on! He took me by surprise when he said he wanted to take me to The Wildlife World Zoo. Before the zoo, he picked me up at around noon and we went to lunch. After lunch, we went to the zoo! We walked around for HOURS. I made some birds talk, and I got to touch some sting rays! We had so much fun. We both didn’t want to end the date. So we went to the mall! We met my our friend Megan (My Maid of Honor) and we shopped for a bit until we got hungry! We went to dinner and then he dropped my off back at home around 8/9pm. I remember telling my mom “I can see myself marrying him and starting a family” And then I did... Only the opposite way around!
After about a month of dating, I moved in with Michael. Everything just felt RIGHT. A few months went by and I found out I was pregnant! When Michael came home that evening I was so scared to tell him, but when I did he was so surprised and SO happy! His joy made my fears go away! That’s when I knew everything will be ok. We were both excited and ready for our new journey.
A couple weeks before our due date for Mason, Michael and I made it back to the Wildlife World Zoo. I “waddled” around 9 months pregnant (taking lots of breaks of course) and Michael proposed at the Flamingo viewing by the parking lot near the Dillion’s BBQ Restaurant! And of course I said YES!!
Exactly 5 years after our first date, we chose our anniversary to FINALLY tie the knot!
