The Bagelry Soquel
We spent countless highschool days getting lunch at the Bagelry. Maddie's recommendation: toasted whole wheat bagel with tomato herb spread and sprouts Joe's recommendation: double toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese or double toasted jalapeño bagel with cream cheese ** Joe's mom would scratch those recommendations and tell you to get hummus on everything
East End Gastropub
Maddie worked here during all of her summer and winter breaks during college. Their food is arguably the best in the area. They have great beers on tap, their salads are HUGE, and their burgers are delicious. Make a reservation before you go!
Beer Thirty Bottle Shop & Pour House
Beer Thirty is the go to hang out spot. They have great selection of beers on tap and a great patio for hanging out. The best part is they are dog friendly!
East Cliff Drive
We walk along East Cliff Drive whenever we are home. The view is beautiful and the Point Market is at the end. They are cash only, but they make amazing breakfast burritos. We recommend "The Barrel."
Pizza My Heart
Our favorite pizza joint in town. They have expanded to several locations in the Bay Area, but Pizza My Heart originated in Capitola. Our favorite is the location on 41st Avenue because they always have a wide selection of pizza by the slice ready to eat. However, for a more scenic dinning experience there is a small location right by Capitola Beach. Joe's recommendation: Pepperoni or Chicken and Bacon Maddie's recommendation: Super Veggie
The Forest of Nisene Marks
Nisene holds a special place in our hearts. It's where Joe got down on one knee and asked Maddie to marry him! A super-green Redwood forest that features creeks, waterfalls, and wildlife.
