It all started with a college graduation. Carson first laid eyes on Maddie at her nursing school pinning ceremony. Something about that moment stuck with him—he just knew they were meant to be. A month later, he took a chance and sent her a message on Instagram, asking her out on a date. Their first date was simple, sweet, and unforgettable. They had lunch at a little spot called The Rookery, followed by a trip to Dickey Farms for their favorite peach ice cream. Neither wanted the evening to end, so they capped it off with a movie—Top Gun. It was the perfect start to something truly special. That one date turned into many, and together they started to build a life full of laughter, adventure, and love—including a happy home shared with their two dogs, Hank and Billie. In July of 2024, during a rainy day in Gulf Shores that ended with a stunning sunset, Carson got down on one knee and asked Maddie to be his forever. In case you weren’t sure, she said yes.
