Surf at Spyglass Beach

182 Seacliff Dr, Pismo Beach, CA 93449

A forgiving wave that backs up to Pismo cliffs is a beautiful spot to catch a few gentle summer waves. A top spot of ours to surf in SLO County.

Beachcomb

We love beach-combing, and the area is known for it's rare Big Sur jade! We suggest driving Highway 1 to enjoy the view and look for little areas to pull off and do some searching.

Piedras Blancas Light Station

15950 Cabrillo Highway, San Simeon, CA 93452

Located on the south side of Big Sur, a historical site in San Simeon. Check them out online for available walking tours.

Hearst Castle

750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452

A famous castle in San Luis Obispo County. They are known for their exotic animals and extravagant decorations - keep an eye out for the zebras! If you work for California State Parks, talk to a supervisor about getting a free pass!

The Hidden Kitchen

113 North Ocean Avenue, Cayucos, CA 93430

Grab some food at the Hidden Kitchen in Cayucos. The breakfast tacos are bomb and it's a great option for healthy, light meals.

Cayucos Shipwreck

750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452

Check out the shipwreck in Estero Bluffs State Park with a great view of Morro Rock. This was also a favorite surf spot of Maddi's during her time at Cal Poly SLO. Just south of Cayucos and the ship wreck is a dog beach for all the furry friends.

Kreuzberg Coffee

685 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Grab a latte at Kreuzberg and walk around downtown San Luis Obispo. Those who spent time with Maddi in SLO knows she loves a good dirty chai, and this place makes the BEST dirty chai.
