Our story begins in the Autumn of 2020, when Clint was living in Huntsville, AL. Clint’s roommate Edwin happened to have a best friend from high school named Maddi, who was living in Charlotte, NC at the time. Clint was heading to a small, outdoor, covid-friendly Halloween get-together at some of his close friends’ house in Atlanta and invited Edwin to come with him. Edwin saw an opportunity to catch up with his dear friend Maddi as Charlotte is only a few hours away from Atlanta and asked if he could invite her over, to which Clint ultimately agreed. This set the stage for what was to come. On October 31st, 2020, we met for the first time. Maddi was “dressed up” as a cat in a costume that did not even go so far as to include whiskers. Clint was dressed in a pharaoh costume that he had picked up at Spirit Halloween the day before. We quickly connected over our mutual love of Taylor Swift. The next day we found ourselves strolling through Atlanta’s beautiful and meandering Piedmont Park with friends, and the rest is history. With a 7-hour drive between us, we began dating long-distance for about a year before both moving to Atlanta to be closer and take our relationship to the next level. Then, 18 months later, in October 2023, Clint popped the question to Maddi after a nice lunch in Piedmont Park -- The same park where we first got to know each other 3 years before. Together we have 4 beautiful pets and are thrilled to be interweaving our lives together for the rest of our time on this Earth and beyond. We are overjoyed to have our closest friends and family members in one room on April 26, 2025 to wish us well as we embark on the most important adventure of our lives.
