We're Getting Married!

Charlie and Maddi first met at Carson High School. Initially, they did not consider each other any more than acquaintances through friends; however, God thought differently of them. His first attempt to pair Charlie with Maddi was partnering them as Homecoming candidates during their senior year. Sadly, this attempt was unsuccessful as their interests were elsewhere. Little did they know, he would eventually succeed. Maddi and Charlie both moved away after graduation and were not reunited for several years. Once they were finally reconnected on Nevada Day in 2016, boy did the sparks fly. Maddi and Charlie started dating shortly after and their love for one another began to sprout and grow beautifully. On November 17, 2018 Charlie proposed to Maddi in beautiful Lake Tahoe. As you know, they will soon be married and their love for one another will continue to grow, wholesome and full.

The proposal story is one of Maddi's favorite ones to tell! Charlie invited her out to a fancy dinner at Lake Tahoe as a special treat. As they got in the car, Maddi could already tell Charlie was acting kind of funny. Shortly after, he missed the freeway entrance and almost hit a bicycle rider (who was crossing the street while completely ignoring the sign saying "do not cross") in the process of making a U-turn! Maddi was consequently suspicious of why he was so distracted. Once they safely made it up to Tahoe, Charlie pulled the truck over to the side of the road next to the beach. They walked down to the beach and sat on a park bench... in silence... nerves still getting the best of Charlie! Once the sun was setting, Charlie knew it was the perfect time. He had a well thought out proposal speech and got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. She said yes! They enjoyed an absolutely delicious dinner afterward, and Charlie told Maddi he was so glad he asked before dinner so he wasn't too nervous to eat the wonderful food. haha
