Home in Avenue Q

Live and love on Avenue Q

Adam and Megan first met at auditions for CaneStage Theater Company’s production of Avenue Q in January of 2014. Although she was with someone, Megan immediately knew Adam was the man she was meant to be with. Once he was cast, and they began hanging out, Megan ended her other relationship. Adam, who was clueless to all of the VERY obvious hints Megan had given him, took another month to end his relationship, and then on March 16th, 2014 they shared their first kiss. Since they were in the middle of running a production, and millennials, they took a few weeks to figure out if they really wanted to make a commitment (AKA Megan was waiting for Adam to get the courage to ask her out officially.) On April 11th, 2014 they finally made it official, and exactly 6 years later, on April 11th, 2020 they’ll be tying the knot.

The Proposal

After spending several months (years maybe) convincing Adam that Megan wasn’t ready to be engaged, she pulled off the greatest surprise. After taking a trip to Ireland for her birthday, and purchasing a traditional Gaelic Claddagh ring, Megan took Adam to the place of their first official date - Virginia Key Beach - with strawberries and champagne. She could hardly wait so shortly after they got there, she pulled out the custom Batman themed ring box. On August 21st, 2017 Megan proposed to Adam. He was silent for literally about a minute, forgetting he had to respond. Finally he said yes! 💍

The First Ceremony

04/11/2020

Thanks to a wonderful friend, we were able to exchange our first set of vows on the day we intended, without pandemic or rain getting in the way. We look forward to renew those vows and celebrate with all of you in October.
