We first met in Spanish class when I was a freshman and he was a sophomore. The very first time I ever noticed Tylen, though, was at a basketball game. I was on the sidelines cheering, and he walked past me. After the game, my mom asked if I knew him. When I said no, she smiled and told me something I never imagined would come true: “That’ll be your boyfriend one day, I just know it.” At the time, I thought she was crazy—still do sometimes (just kidding, Mom!)—but I’m so glad her words came true. After meeting in Spanish class, Tylen and I became friends. During the summer of my sophomore year, we had a little high school fling, but eventually drifted apart and became strangers again. Then, on January 20th, 2022, I got a message from an unmarked number—and the rest is history. Little did we know back then that we would one day be planning a wedding and getting married. And now, here we are, so overjoyed to celebrate our special day surrounded by all of you.
