Madalyn and Murdock's story is a perfect example of trusting God’s timing. It all began the summer after high school, when they met as volunteers at YoungLife’s Malibu Club in Canada. The six foot five, long haired athlete and girly girl dancer from Newport Beach shared an instant connection that was undeniable, rarely spending any time apart that month. After camp, life took them in different directions, and they went their separate ways for college, but stayed in touch over the next six years. In March of 2023, Murdock made the trip to Nashville, Tennessee to visit Madalyn. The spark between them reignited, and they finally confessed their feelings to each other. After several months of long-distance dating, Madalyn made the move to Seattle to be with Murdock, so they could date in person. Between picking up new hobbies like skiing for Madalyn and growing closer to each other and friends, their relationship grew exponentially. A year after the official start of their relationship, in Newport Beach surrounded by friends and family, Murdock asked Madalyn to marry him, and now they're counting down the days until their January 2025 wedding.
