Question

*REAL ID* requirements for airlines

Answer

Note: Starting May 7, 2025, the federal government will require travelers to have either a valid passport or REAL ID to board a plane. If you are traveling to the wedding via plane, please make sure you have a valid form of ID.

Question

Thinking about an AirBNB instead?

Answer

Definitely an option! It is recommended to look for locations in NW DC. It is likely more affordable to search in Virginia, such as Fairfax, Herndon or Sterling. Don't be shocked by hidden fees, depending on the number of guests a hotel may be the better option.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional. No idea what that means? Neither did we. See: https://www.vogue.com/slideshow/dear-alex-black-tie-optional-wedding-dress-code

Question

Parking?

Answer

Each hotel has its own parking arrangements. Parking at the venue is limited. Ubers or taxis recommended.

Question

Is Meridian House ADA compliant?

Answer

Of course! While the main entrance has a full flight of stairs, there is a beautiful garden entrance on the side that is wheelchair accessible. If you need to use this accommodation, please indicate in your RSVP.
